Some advice on coping in life.

Get out and live your life everyday. Never, ever let your memories be greater than your dreams.

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you handle it so prepare yourself for the worst and when it happens (The worst thing seldom happens by the way) deal with it in a calm and reasonable manner.  And when it hits the fan, here’s you’re mantra “This too shall pass”…and it does. Always.

Have a set of ideals and principles to live by. Have a life plan, a goal, and remember a goal without a plan is just a wish. So have a plan to get to your goal and then be positive, patient and persistent in accomplishing the goal.

Try to do the right thing all the time but remember the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

You want to live a happy life? Then make your life happy. You are what you believe yourself to be. Find happiness in you and never allow your happiness to depend on some thing you may lose. Most people make their own happiness impossible. Don’t be one of those people. It’s that simple.

Give it your best shot, what ever it is. Once you’ve done that, and it still doesn’t work, say the hell with it and walk away, but first make damn sure you can’t win. Most of the people who fail in this life didn’t realize how very close they were to success when they gave up.

Don’t worry about. I know what I’m talking about. I’m an expert in this field. I’m Irish and Jewish. We invented worry. I wasted half of my life worrying about bad things that almost never happened. Here’s the bottom line; worrying will never change the outcome…so stop it.

There is good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for. So fight if you must but be selective in your battles. Sometimes peace is better than being right.

Finally, here’s the best advice in the world; “Trust in the lord with all your heart & lean not on your own understanding.”….that’s a hell of lot harder than it sounds.

...and remember to laugh...God wants you to laugh.
